The 26 x 18 cm deck supports the whole base of a mid size handbag, so the bag holds its own shape without stuffing that makes it look bloated. All four edges are rounded to 8 mm, so the leather of the bag rubbing over them as customers lift it does not take a pressure mark. The base is weighted, which matters when a strap hangs down one side.
